Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the VerifiedAdvisorsHub website and services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who we are

VerifiedAdvisorsHub (“VAH,” “we,” “us”) operates an online platform that connects prospective clients with independent, credential-verified financial advisors.

2. What the Service is — and isn't

We are a marketplace, not an advisory firm.We match prospects with independent licensed advisors based on the information you provide. We don't provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing on this Service constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product.

Our calculators and educational content are for general information only. They use simplified assumptions and are not a substitute for advice tailored to your specific situation. Always consult a licensed professional before making financial decisions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter into a legally binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Your relationship with advisors

Advisors on VerifiedAdvisorsHub are independent third parties, not our employees, agents, or partners. Any engagement you enter into with an advisor is between you and that advisor. We are not a party to, and bear no responsibility for, the services, advice, fees, products, or representations of any advisor.

We verify advisor credentials against their regulator at the time of onboarding and periodically thereafter. Verification confirms an advisor's current licensing status — it is not an endorsement of any particular advisor or their advice.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Keep your account credentials confidential (if you have an account)
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Respect intellectual property and privacy rights of others
  • Notify us of unauthorized account use

6. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without our written permission
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
  • Use the Service to send spam, harass others, or distribute malware
  • Misrepresent yourself or impersonate another person or entity
  • Submit a matching inquiry with fake information intended to waste advisor time

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including text, graphics, logos, calculators, articles, and software, is owned by VerifiedAdvisorsHub or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.

8. User-generated content

If you submit content (such as a testimonial, message to an advisor, or free-form questionnaire response), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service. You represent that you own or have the right to submit the content.

We may moderate, edit, or remove content at our discretion, including content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

9. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, products, or services. We don't control those third parties and aren't responsible for their content, practices, or terms. Your interactions with them are governed by their own terms and policies.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, nor that any advisor matched to you will meet your specific needs.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VerifiedAdvisorsHub and its officers, directors, and employees are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim under these Terms is limited to the greater of CAD $100 or the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for most users, is zero).

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VerifiedAdvisorsHub and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

14. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. When we make material changes to the Terms, we'll update the “Last updated” date and, where practical, notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to their exclusive jurisdiction.

16. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
  • Waiver.Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction.
