How credential verification works

Every advisor on VerifiedAdvisorsHub is verified against a regulator’s public licensee database before they can take on clients or appear on the marketplace. This is the single most important trust signal we offer the public — we don’t take it lightly.

What we check

• Your name on file with the regulator matches the name on your application.
• Your license number is active (not lapsed, suspended, or revoked).
• The verification URL you provided actually resolves to your record on the regulator’s site.
• Any uploaded license document corroborates the above.

How long it takes

Most applications are reviewed within 1–2 business days. We’ll email you the moment a decision is made. You can use the hub during the wait, but you won’t appear on the public marketplaceand you can’t add real clients yet.

What happens when you’re approved

• The product subscriptions you requested at signup are activated.
• Your public marketplace profile becomes live (provided you’ve uploaded a photo + filled in the basics).
• You get the “Verified by VerifiedAdvisorsHub” badge that shows on every public touchpoint.

If something needs more info

If the regulator’s site is down, the license number doesn’t resolve, or the document is unreadable, we’ll email you with what’s missing rather than reject the application outright.
