What happens after I contact an advisor?
When to expect a reply, what's free, what isn't, and how to follow up.
After you submit the matching quiz, three things happen at once:
- We match you against verified advisors based on your answers.
- Those advisors get an email with your contact details and the gist of what you’re looking for.
- You get a confirmation email so you have a record of who’s been alerted.
When to expect a reply
Most advisors respond within a few hours. If you haven’t heard back in 48 hours, reply to the confirmation email and we’ll personally nudge a different advisor on your behalf.
Is there any cost?
Reaching out is free. The advisor can’t charge you for a first conversation. If you decide to work together, you and the advisor agree on their fee structure (commission, fee-only, hourly, etc.) directly. VerifiedAdvisorsHub never takes a commission and never marks up advisor fees.
What if I don’t click with them?
That’s normal. Tell them politely you’re going to look elsewhere — most advisors prefer a quick “not the right fit” over silence. Then come back and either retake the matching quiz with different priorities, or open a different advisor from your match list.
