How matching works

How does VerifiedAdvisorsHub work?

You answer 10 short questions about your financial goals, location, and situation. We use that to match you with up to three credential-verified financial advisors who specialise in what you need. Their information is emailed to you and to them — they reach out to you directly.

The questionnaire takes most people about 3 minutes.

Why don't you just show me a list of advisors?

Because scrolling through dozens of profiles wastes time and makes you compare advisors on superficial criteria like photos or reviews. Matching focuses on what actually matters: jurisdiction (licensing), specialty (do they handle your kind of situation?), and structure (fee-only vs commission). The result is a smaller, better shortlist.

How are advisors verified?

Every advisor's licence is checked against the regulator that issued it — FSRAO in Ontario, AMF in Quebec, FCNB in New Brunswick, TDI in Texas, NAIC databases in other US states, and so on. We confirm active status, the licence type, and any disciplinary record before activating a profile. Verification is re-checked periodically.

What happens after I'm matched?

Each matched advisor receives your name, contact details, and a summary of your answers. They reach out by email or phone — most within four hours. You also receive an email with each advisor's profile so you can review them on your own time. You're under no obligation to engage with any of them.

What if none of the matches feel right?

Retake the questionnaire — your answers may have shifted, and you'll get a different set of matches. You can also contact usand we'll personally help you find a better fit.

Cost and obligation

Is VerifiedAdvisorsHub free?

Yes — completely free for you as a prospective client. Advisors pay us a small subscription to receive matched leads. You never pay anything to use the matching service or any of our calculators and educational content.

Are the advisors going to pressure me to buy something?

We expect advisors on the platform to behave professionally. If you have a bad experience, please tell us— repeated complaints affect an advisor's standing on the platform. You can ignore any advisor at any time without consequence.

Will I be added to a marketing list?

No. We only send transactional emails (your match results, calculator outputs you requested, etc.). We don't build a marketing list and we don't share or sell your information. You can unsubscribe at any time.

About the advice

Does VerifiedAdvisorsHub give financial advice?

No.We're a marketplace, not an advisory firm. Our calculators, articles, and matching tool are educational — they help you frame the right questions and connect you with licensed professionals. Any actual financial, investment, tax, or legal advice comes from the advisor you choose to engage, independently of us.

Do you recommend specific financial products?

We don't recommend products to you. Our content explains how products work and when each tends to fit, so you can have an informed conversation with an advisor. Product recommendations are between you and the licensed professional.

Are advisors employees of VerifiedAdvisorsHub?

No. Every advisor is an independent professional, licensed and regulated through their own professional body. VerifiedAdvisorsHub verifies their credentials and provides the matching service — we're not their employer or principal. Any service agreement you enter is between you and the advisor directly.

Privacy and data

What information do you collect?

For matching: your name, email, phone, and questionnaire answers. For calculators you use: the inputs you choose. For visits: standard analytics (pages viewed, etc.) — only if you accept the cookie banner. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

Where is my data stored?

Our infrastructure is in Canada and the United States. Both jurisdictions provide comparable legal protections, and our service providers are bound by contract to maintain appropriate safeguards.

How do I delete my data?

Email us via the address in the Privacy Policy and we'll delete your records (subject to the retention obligations explained there — for example, financial-services recordkeeping requirements may require us to keep matching inquiries for several years).

Send us anything — a real human will read it and respond within one business day.
